Searching (maybe should be in off topic?)

Was just searching and trying to find v6 AND corolla, got a million corolla links but no v6, how come shorter words dont get picked up by the search?? Is there a way the search "engine" can be modified to allow for this or is it just a crack that the smaller words fall through?

phpbb2 doesn let you search under 3 letters, and nope, can't easily be fixed.
