Balls...

Postby Skin » Wed Feb 14, 2007 7:11 pm

Just get home from work and notice that a spare interior piece of my car is sitting on my roof, not where i left it. Go over to check it out, and hello, all my $&#$% wheels are missing and the car is on blocks!!!!

Just a little pissed at the moment...

Thankfully the c**ts didnt break into the car or anything, and my engine is still there. Ive still got a lot of shit inside the car, so thats all coming down to my room tonight!!!

Worst part is the garage door is broken at the moment and wont go down, Ive asked the landlord countless times to get it fixed, hes gonna get an angry phonecall from me very soon.....

Sounds like what happened to me man.. our garage wouldn't lock and I kept nagging the landlord to fix it - it wasn't until my wheels were stolen out of the garage when I fully went off at him. Needless to say he fixed it ASAP.

sounds like both you guys need to talk to your insurance companies, and then the tennancy tribunal, sounds like the landlord would be held at least partly responsible, just my guess though, wouldn't hurt to call them.

I do have insurance, but I would rather not claim, as i dont want to screw my no claims bonus on something as small as rims. Im sure i can pick up some standard bat wheels cheap enough.

Oh by the way, one of the tyres was flat, so there is a chance the tool might take it to a local tyre shop and get it repaired.

Thats the wheels it had, if anyone here works at one of the tyre shops around wellington and someone happens to bring one of these in to have a repair, let me know. Tyre size is 235/45/17 (cant remember the make  )

I'd be careful about claiming insurance anyway, Chris. If you stated that your car would be garaged when you submitted an application to them, the fact that the door doesn't close would make them deny the claim, and then you'd screw your no claims bonus as well.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

They'd be doing well to drive the car away

Little $&#$% though, will keep an eye out around the ways to see if anything shows up.

Cnut man... :?

Might be an option to ring around the local tyre shops or even email them a picture of the wheels?

ANGRY

Postby TOYROTA » Thu Feb 15, 2007 9:52 am

that makes me angry, i know how you feel bro so i have emailed all the beaurepaires, frank allen tyres and goodyear service centres and told them to inform me if any rims of that description come in for a puncture.
i can do this as i work for frank allen tyres and we are all part of the same company and share the same intranet.
hope the lil bastards turn up

Mate your a legend

My flatmate works for trade me, so she has told all the other admins there to keep an eye out for them, and circulated pics of the rims as well.

I wont bother claiming insurance, by the time the excess has been taken out and you factot in that my no claims bonus will be out the window, its just not worth it.
