1983 MA61 import. matt black, flares added, rough as guts but fun to be driving it again after a 6 year repair job. Slowly heading for a 1uz.

1983 GA61 import. 1GGTE conversion, runs but de-registered, Most likley to become a track hack when I get time for it.

1981 MA61 2.8L GT-L factory TRD spec

5M-GZE-U this is one of the main differences in mine its super charged 2.8L 4 valves per pot 8.6-1 compression runs 7psi from stock from what i thort was a SC14 but have since found it not as its bigger

it runs a W58OD so i get 7 gears in total

& a 3.7:1 diff but its dousent matter because of the over drive it still cruses at 120kmph @ about 1800rpm

things to do are rebild the factory motor & put it back in at the moment its running on a 5M-GEU
& rebild the LSD as the clutch packs have gone so its about as help full as a open diff
& buy some 16" wheels & put the orrignal breaks back on at the moment it has 2L celca breaks that the old owner put on so he could put 14" wheels on it

its the same 3 colour set up as dr J`s but will try get a pic up soon

i also have to find a dizzy cap & rotor for the orrignal motor

Well a bit of background there, When I bought the car the previous owner had fitted the engine but was unable to get it running. So I spent a bit of time sorting out the wiring and some very agricultural intake piping, just enough to get it going. Unfortunatley it seems the original 1g-eu clutch was used, so there is a slipping issue, but there's definate potential with a bit of work. I do prefer the low down torque of my 5M powered car though, much more fun as a street car, even if it's not quick.

yes build plate says that

iv got all the paper work for it but in jap

pridy much the owner in 1981 bought the car & asked for it to be speced up from factory to the full spec they could do & spaired no money doing it in 1986 it was bought over by the owner when he moved it was blowen up some time arround here by the owner & was sold off
it was de reged & sat for a while before in late 1987 the new owner put a standed motor & re vined it with it in when i bought it it came with every thing that had ever been changed on it only thing missing is the ECU i still have every thing from the orrignal badges right thro to vin plates number plates & motor the

work to put it back to staned is not alot its just time cousmeing & expensive for me at the moment im putting about $150 a week in to it so soon i hope to have it done but it will probly be late next yeah
