If you were a farmer I'd say go to FMG - I got my insurance through them when I was living and working on an orchard. Cheap, easy to deal with, and no problems with claims.

I had the Corona through AMI, was with them almost 2 years, first vehicle insured, had an accident, collected a dog, about $2K all up, filed a claim was in the panel shop the next day.

Personally I never had an issue with them. Bear in mind though that a lot of the usual insurance companies are all linked back to one or another company at the end of the day

Crombie and Lockwood is a great broker if you choose to go that way..

You didn't mention turbo before. Might have a few problems with the big names with such mods.

You could try state...i had my evo with them, and i had to make 2 claims fr windows, and 1 claim with a crash...all i had to do is call them and they asked where i worked, and told me 3 of the closest places to go that they used and recommended and that was all i had to do. (no forms or nothing!!!)
:D

Plus i was 23, with a 35k evo 7 (at the time when i took the insurance), and i lost my D/L for demerit points when i was 16 - 17 (oh yea, and my prem was only $1300 for the year)

I second that, I'm with FMG, and they've been excellent to deal with.

AMI wouldn't insure my race car, and devalued my road car by about 40% in one year.

Now I'm with State.

3rd party insurance on an unmodified car ... the person they screw is the person you hit. Because you don't stand to get any payout from them anyway.

I'm with Leon, Keep away from AMI, State FTW, as long as you dont come accross as a dropkick they seem really good, So far the easiest company I've had to deal with when it comes to claim time!

For extra brownie points go in to a branch and see them face to face and then they wil realise your not a DK, unless you are one then use the phone

AMI start you off with a nice low premium then the following year multiply it by about 10 and make up some BS

Ami seem to vary as they're one of the very few companies who give their branch managers any authority. I'm with them, and have had no problems.

State are a bunch of useless crunts
