Congrats to Mark, FWD ST185 Celica - 11.7 @ 119mph!!!!

Postby mister2 » Sun Mar 11, 2007 7:12 pm

Hi,

Just got back from the 4 + Rotors drags here in Christchurch. There were a few late nights spent last week getting Mark's new setup going, but it paid off when he broke into the 11's and ran an 11.7 @ 119mph!

The new setup is a 3SGTE with Super T70, running 21psi boost making 430whp, although the run was allegedly done on 15psi due to wastegate leaks. It runs a LinkPlus G2, with 4 LS1 coils, and 550cc injectors which are pretty maxed at 21psi.

There are further plans afoot for more boost and a second set of injectors, so we will have to see. But congratulations to him anyway on the great result so far.

Also representing the Toyotas at the drags was a green RWD Starlet running a 3SGTE that did an 11.3, very impressive. There was a FWD Glanza doing mid 13's too.

Cheers

Nick

Yes... the owner of that car was letting Mark run it, so you might have noticed similarities in the burnouts to the Celica (albeit with a single spinner vs LSD) :D
