CCC club day #4

Postby crispy'86 » Wed Mar 14, 2007 5:39 pm

For those that are interested the canterbury car club is having their 4th club race day on sunday 18th march, gates open from 9am, scrutineering etc finishes by 10 though i could be wrong by that time. This is a good opportunity to talk to a few people there about entering at grass roots level for racing, spectators are free from what i believe. Most classes will be running, rx7's , super 6's etc good day out biewing wise

Usually qualifying starts about 10:30ish depending on the organising....usually later than earlier. Time dependant there is a free pactice session pre qualifying

Entry should be by gold coin (almost free)

Classes are usually saloons by cc class then fastest/slowest 50% split, classics, open wheelers and I believe OSCA will be running.

Come out for a look, hopefully it'll be fine

A lot of it is time dependent due to amount of entries / how long scrutineering / documentation takes.

From what I know qualifying & races start from 10.45am.

I'm one of the crew running the Transponder timing system as usual, and its always a good days racing and the pits are open to chat to the drivers.
Those entering the Speed event the next weekend can take a look at the cars to see how the transponders are fitted to give you some idea.

Its the second to last Club day so a lot of the guys will be racing hard out to secure their Championship title - so should be good days racing to watch.
If I say I don't need anyone
I can say these things to you
'Cause I can turn on any one
Just like I turned on you
I've got a tongue like a razor
A sweet switchblade knife
And I can do you favors
But then you'll do whatever I like
