Price to pay for a Manual Soarer

Postby bbq1988 » Thu Mar 15, 2007 9:04 am

Hey Guys, i found a manual soarer, done 180,000kms

has been converted from a auto, it has a W58 and heavy duty clutch.

Also has Turbos from supra? CT12A? (any one share some light?) that have only done 50,000kms

over all seems tidy, going to have a look on saturday..

the guy said he wanst 11k but after looking at general prices and for the kms that seems alittle much.

any thoughts? Cheers

I'm guessing it's a Z30 Soarer?

CT12A means it's a 1JZ-GTE. Turbos are the same in the JZA70 Supra and the JZZ30 Soarer.

180K is getting a bit up there but if she's been taken care off it shouldn't make a difference. Those engines tend to last, the only thing that really lets it down/fails is the turbos after too much thrashing. They are only ceramics after all...

11K sounds a little on the steep side considering you can probably pick up a not too bad looking Z30 for around the 5K mark and then just convert it to manual...

 Nope, it was purely pointing out that JZZ30's break, and if you couldn't wipe the floor with me when it finally gets on the road there's something very wrong :P

It's a Toyota turbo... so ceramic...

Downfalls: Lag, Higher Gas Bill, Potential to kill yourself goes up.

Nope, it was purely pointing out that JZZ30's break

IIRC yours broke a wee while back as well!!
And mine didn't break... I willingly took it off of the road!!!
