have you tried taking the heat shield off the starter to see if it fits with out it?

car wont start after a long run with the extractors that close to the starter motor. i believe disturb had issues when he used to run his like that.

yeah, i somehow managed to cook mine good and proper as i couldnt fit the sheilds in there because it was too tight a fit.

Took about 5 weeks before any issues started showing.

on that note however gasmans ae92 is running starter motor on the exhaust side, however his extractors are heatwrapped and he said he's had no problems with it.
