What's the point, their cars can't even beat a MR2 with a blown head gasket running 15" G Grids with full interior trim and spare tire.

All this "smoke some Toyota ass" talk.... pfft, the only thing they smoke was the water and oil steam that were coming out of my exhaust pipe from the blown head gasket.

Waste of time.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

No, the last time they dominated the small NA classes. I'll carve any EB1's they care to bring along
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

you quite sure of that??? i can't vouch for the cars in your neck of the woods, but if some of the race built hondas turned up from down here it would be close in either discipline. you sound more like a 20v owner than a GT4 owner!!
I've been a bad bad boy. I should read the rules and behave before I get spanked by an admin

Lol, the thread changed tune pretty rapidly. You might think your 13.5sec turbo 20V is quick, but there are quite a few DC2s, EFs and DAs getting around now that would run mid 13s or lower, all day long..

Hondas are very good cars. But some percentage of owners are idiots (same goes for Toyota or other makes, but more so for honda - because of stupid movies and hype around them).
Good example today, I am driving my bosses C300 SRT8 and there is an idiot lines up next to me trying to race, I slow down, he slows down, I speed up he speeds up, what he failed to realise that I had indicator on and wanted to get into his lane - what an idiot with his stock DC and wankoff exhaust, probably a 1600 SOHC thinking he can beat an SRT8 ;).
Oh other thing is that I never raced him, although my boss was sitting next to me and encouraging me to give it a go.

BTW you can make an LADA or even ZAZ go really fast with enough money and will. This is nothing to do with make or model, although with some you get more head start then others.

20v, pfft, mine wont be in 13's for long thats for sure. but anyway, who's keen to organize another drag day?

i do however agree with you that there are alot of quick hondas, and most will sass the majority of toyota's in the same class. it is VERY hard to beat them NA

That thread on NZHondas I reckon sets them up to deserve a spanking - though the Toyota crowd (sorry chaps) are going to be lucky to beat or match in the NA class. Work on dominating in the FI class, you guys should have the cars to do it now.

Re track - I dunno why people think that'd be in Toyotas favour, you're definitely a lot safer in the dragstrip sense.

jappas were not made for drag racing
leave it to the real engines 8)

NOW a track day... that sounds more representitive of the cars actual abilities.

lets divide the classes up by costs.....

They always have a good turnout and they do really well in the NA class.

So yeah... if no 20v's turn up there may be a chance for toyota at the next one.
