anti lag idle

Postby bluemaumau » Mon Apr 02, 2007 6:29 pm

oh ok it seems the gze has decided to go fully anti lag on me now, before it was just hunting, then it fixed itself.

now after doing everything i can think of

it idles at 2000rpm and when it reaches operating temp, it starts with this anti lag thing. it actually runs then sounds like it cuts then goes again. (closet thing to anti-lag that isnt  )

sometimes itll do it for 30 seconds then return to idle (2000rpm), then go again soon.

(anti lag = 2200rpm to 1400rpm.)

needing help.......

is there a way of testing them?

The hunting is caused by the fact that the ECU is designed to save fuel on overrun so whenever the TPS switch is closed and the engine speed is above 200, it turns off the injectors.

That causes the bad surging/anti lag sounds.

If it idles that high then there is air getting past the throttle somewhere.
It has an air leak or the throttle plate is held open.

There is nothing else that will fix it unless you stop the air leak.

That would cause a miss, not a high idle..

Find a fitting into the inlet manifold and put compressed in into the manifold and see if you can find where it hisses out.

you said no 4 had 1, so that'd make it 1k ohm.
The others were 6ish or something.
