I just baught two MA45s today O_o
ones a 1978 manual with an overheated engine and a bucket load of rust.
the others a 1981 auto with perfect engine, straight body (in primer) and missing all the trimmings. Plan is to swap the trimmings off ole rusting onto the one with the straight body followed by the tranny and then a lick of paint!

Yea, i was surprised no one had taken them before i got there *shrug*. Apparantly was alot of interest in the spare parts, so i'll put up a list of them once i know what i will need to get one back into prestine condition, not sure if the 2nd is revivable, will have a better look once i get it on some axel stands.

continue tidying it up as much i can without spending huge amounts of time. have too many other projects. likely fit some massively wide rims to it. lighten the flywheel, giving the cam covers a paint/polish, replacing exhaust manif with uncracked one, adding painted up heat shields etc. add oxy sensor and air/fuel meter to improve fueling as it currently guzzles. (ie keep it stock) keep it as a daily until i got something else on the road then probly sell when time comes.

Good to see you giving it a second chance, although I was dissapointed to miss out on it for parts. Good luck none the less

Also have a half decent pic of my black XX finally.

man that looks sweet! maybe i should add 'paint job' to my to-do list haha
is that a gx71 cressida lip you have on the front? looks good

hmm yeah would've been good for parts but i thought it would be too much of a shame to strip a genuine P-type which just needs a little tlc

Not a Cressida lip, it's off a '90 or so Corona, probably not as neat a fit as a Cressida one but it's what I found at pick a part at the time. Also seems to be a bit deeper than the Cressida jobbie.

And maybe of interest to MrDori, my wheels are Impul r1's 16x7 and 16x8 +25 offset. you're probably gunna want some spacers for your rears

i still want an ma61 , thats an update

Cant afford one just yet as im saving for the group a's engine rebuild, and the cost of shipping my ma61 from Oz scares the crud out of me ..

Havent seen many with flares though in this country , they seem pretty rare to come by
