Depending on budget etc. Why not try shoe-horn the new 2GR-FSE. Big fan of these motors. Allegedly standard with 350hp. This is the GDI version of the Aurion motor. Weight etc I'm not sure on but, it's got power and fuel economy. If you still want to have forced induction why not supercharge it, or twin turbo. You would only need a small amount of boost to bring it up to 400hp.

Only real issue is that AFAIK there's no manual option but I'm sure if budget allowed you could find something.

well in that case

7k OHV 2 valve 1781cc 76@4600hp 103@2800kw 9.0:1

then fit a 4AGE head & a turbo or SC14 :D

seriously, stop taking drugs.

7k with sc12 for a road car would be awesome!
but not cheap....

yeah just had a proper look at the project turns out they take 5.8mm off the block bolt on a intermedate head then bolt the 4A head to that so probly not worth it the end result with a SC14 is 268rwkw but still way over priced if your not forced to stay K series like they were

in that case id probly go 3T or 1UZ

4age's are good, but too many people use them, it's not so original anymore, I'd say go with the 3t-gte

Well the decision has been made to put a CA18det into the ke20. have found an engine for sale and am waiting on the sale of my other ke20 to buy it

ha cool.. fj20et, ca18det, sr20det.. good power plants but your on your own :P

i've 4age'd mine and was happy.. who cares if someone else has done it.. theres fair reason! 4age turbo's are great fun and plenty spare cheap 4age parts around when you break things

i've tinkered with 3tgte's for a few years now and they're a good engine but finding a good unthrashed one is the trick. they're 22+ years old and nearly always need a freshen up with gaskets etc. toyota have recently stopped listing their parts supplies for the cars these came in so new parts are getting expensive to buy. plenty after market internal parts available tho. TT142 GT-T corona and TA63 GT-T celica or carina.

i reckon adapting new hi-tech engines into oldschool rwd is the way to go. retro teching!
even getting big capacity 4cyl donks and boosting em like the 2RZFE would be something new for NZ. the guys in the states love em.

hmmm well the ca18 ive found is worked a bit too, vr4 injectors, hyrbrid t3/t4 turbo, etc. 220 RWKW with dyno sheet, but ive been told the performance angels dyno is a bit optomistic  engine, gearbox (with heavy duty clutch), computer and loom for the same price i sold my ke20 for today :D i hate having cash, it just wants to be spent!
