Awesome!

It was the Ashburton Sprint curse this weekend though - out of some of the entrants I know of out of CCC - At the Quarter mile / Speed event - Allan Coker had his alternator die on him and Wayne broke an axle, At the Club Day John blew his diff and Allan McCormick DNF'd due to a big end bearing. I'm the only one who didn't suffer some form of breakdown (apart from Clara) and only because I didn't use the Sentra at all since I was officiating both days (but I still have a dodgy gearbox), but things are looking good for a replacement in the near future that has an LSD :)

Looking for a spare set of seatbelts to run passengers in my car for this event.

We have three sets of belts between our two cars as there is only one or two events a year where my car and the focus run in the same event and take passengers so it's not worth buying a set to use once a year.

Must be clip in type as my car already has the eyes bolted into the mounts,
and must have a current date stamp on them.

Should be able to take the donating person for a ride on Sat or Sun as long as I dont encounter a problem.

PM or reply here,

Matt

Still staying at your original accommodation then?

If I didn't mention before, get there early. Like still really dark early in the morning (grab breakfast at McDonalds on the way) :) We arrived Friday so we'd get up at 5 in the morning or something to get there around 6 something after breakfast. I'm going to have a look on Friday night and hopefully organise some pit space (we have 5 cars in our CCC group, best to get a spot in the main pit area)

Will see you at the event 8)

That reminds me, i better get my refund.. :)

For the first time in .... shit I'm old... I dont have a race car thats anywhere near complete. The Celica would have been a bit of fun as well.

Sounds like there is going to be more Toyspeeders here than at 1/2 the Toyspeed Meets.

Do you know all the running order or just a few?

Know where these cars are running?
Me in my DX Corolla,
Chris Dunn in the Ford Focus
Alan Dunn in the GT40?

I only had a quick glimpse at the running order, sorry Matt.

But I believe (from memory) in order it was you, then Chris then Alan. Sorry, can't remember the placings though -

I do remember Clara got 33 (her Super 6 race number is 333) and Allan Coker got 54th (race number 54)

Can't work out where they got 2nd for Wayne - although his race number is 69, so thats a dinner for 2...

And Hopper is racing in the place before me.

so u get to sit on the start line and watch what you should be doing in the sentra ;)

2 of the drifting guys are running now, both should do well if they can restrain themselves

i'll be floating around there most of the weekend, yell at me and poke me in the eye if you see me

Unfortunatly due to "technical difficulties" did not get any incar footage from my car this year.

As for results,

Chris in the Focus made it into the top 8 but ended up 9th?
and was fastest 2WD car,

And I was 11th or 12th and was second 2WD car,

and dad crashed the GT40.

I am getting some pic's and Video's off someone who was there,
so will post up any of interest.
