Good luck if you get 100 cars to turn up to toyota megameet and go to track day. Would have to open it up to everyone, maybe even talk to honda boys and get them interested?

And I vote no drag racing...Make it a track day all day, like Chelles awesome days. Learn far far far more than how to launch a day.

I would like to do both weather it be 1/8th or 1/4 mile drags it would be like a warm-up to the main event i.e the laps in traffic..How many poeple have attended these megameets before???I just reckon if you had a venue like Manfield you may as well utilise all the space and I completely agree Chelles has got her Track-days down to pretty much a science with heaps of Track time and everyone seems to be on the same page so there are no acccidents out there so its a definite thumbs up from me..

Woot so instead of 15 people walking into hells, we can have like 40.

They might not love us much after that :)

I went to a Toyspeed meet once. It was a while ago (probalby about 5-6years ago?), well anyway it was from the days when first forum was only 5 pages big. I meet a bunch of guys, probably ~10-15 cars, but to my not so surprize there were not any females, well actually there was 1 female - Ben's g/f(I assume), but that did not bother me a lot, as I got lost when the cruise got to the shore. So here is my little useless story. I am not really keen to go to megameet because 1) I am little shy 2) I am afraid to get lost as I am very doubtful I will know anyone 3) I am very lazy with really strange taste for strange females 4) if megameet involve consumption of a lot of booze that will not be very attractive for me.

a toyspeed meet is very different from megameet... you go knowing hardly anyone, and leave with a heap of new mates.

Dont be shy.. we need as many 3s powered cars there as possible to prove that they are good and reliable

Hey driving in my Celica to Palmy will be a mission, I either blow it up or crash it ;). Although I made to Taupo and back in it once ;).
When is the megameet anyways? Hopefully my now ST205 will arrive from Japan by that time (so I don't have to embarrassed by the looks of my ST165, although my ST165 will give a good run to most ST205s).

Megameet is always Labour Weekend which is 19 - 22 October this year I think (Either that or both Mmm, Boost and I are wrong)

And if strange females is your thing, Palmy will be perfect for you

Thats the attitude fellas 8) Megameet is awesome, and not necessarily a boozefest Sergei. For a shy fulla you've sure got a lot to say on a forum ;)
I've been hunting accomodation locally, the main camping ground is all booked out but I may be able to swing some cheap accomodation with local motels.
As for confirming Palmy as the location, if no-one else objects then I think its a good venue :D

I dunno if Taupo afew years back was part of the 'mega' tradition, but that was fun.

Arrive, get plastered, get annoyed at people who snore like trains in the shared accomodation (grrrr, u know who you are), go for a long long long long drive to a hill.. drive the long long long road back, sleep like a log, trash nuts of the car at the track..

Great fun!

I'll be there without bells on
