Auckland is about 6 hours drive, Christchurch is probably further. Roughly 4 hours to Picton, then nearly 2 hours from Wgtn to Palmy.

Who'd be interested in a dyno day in the weekend as well? Have a local company who'd be happy to run one for us.
Still working on accomodation!

Not too worried, get hassled enough about driving a whale, don't really need proof of how gutless it is

That said, if it's on, I'd probably throw it up there for a laugh (Unless it was crazy expensive)

Is there an over 50's section? And do I qualify for triple mileage on Revheads petrol voucher offer?

Sorry, the petrol voucher deal does not apply to pensioners/senior citizens
No believe it or not, there is only one campground here. Am going to explore Feilding and other locales tomorrow...there is always the Ashhurst domain, but thats just a paddock.

Ok, accomodation is reasonably sorted.
Feilding Holiday Park has plenty of space.
I've spoken to one of the owners, they have backpacker type units available for $30 per person single, or $25 per person if more than one person stays in the unit. They sleep about 4 people per unit, and you use the campground amenities (kitchen, toilet etc)
There are also powered caravans on site, which can have about 2 or 3 people for $25 per person.
If you're the sort who likes motel style accomodation, they have a studio unit which is totally stand alone and has a queen sized waterbed for $80 per night.

Oh, and did I hear a mention of a certain local race track being available too.......? ;)
