I'm keen but I've heard alot of talk about these things the biggest problem is finding a suitable venue ie not always the best for everybody if your just going to keep it in Auckland.I mean now that Taupo has a alround facility that would probably be your best bet.Don't get me wrong and I'm not trying to be negative here but I'll be buggered if it is hard enough to get you Auklanders to get any further south of Meremere..... :D

there is talk about a track day to be included with taupo the track of choice.

If we can get this one sorted and it goes as well at the last two we will look at organising one for Wellington or similar.

Thanks for your comment though.

I think its likely to be queens birthday weekend? but yeah once we have enough interest and get the ball rolling, we will try and accomodate the majority of people for dates that suit.

cheers

I'd be keen! Would rather a trackday than a drag personally. ('86 TT and my brother can bring down my MA45, fear.)

there was one several years ago... can you all remmber Cully riding around the autocross course on a 50cc quad bike... with a broken ankle.

would be keen to help or take pics (i was at the last one with a video camera that craped out on me... and i got some good burnouts at the drags too..)

I went to the first one in 2001 I think it was they got about 50 odd Supra's if I recall did the Meremere thing on the first day Dyno day at Torque performance on the 2nd and a Grasskhana somewhere I can't remember where but it was good to meet new people and put names to faces..

I think the ideal 2 day event would be a Drag day first up and then do your circuit fun on the 2nd day and if you were really keen you could get a Dyno-Pack dyno and do the Dyno thing during or before the circuit or the drag day..Maybe a Social event at a bar or restaurant like a prize giving of soughts.Or even a show and shine so there's a few idea's to bounce around....... :D
