Power is how fast you hit the wall... Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

1973 Hillman Avenger(rusting in one of Dads paddocks), cost ~$150, another ~100 to fix the leaking windscreen, then the $650 odd of stereo equipment in 1997... very cool.

1975 Hillman Avenger(rusting in one of Dads paddocks), moved the gear to the new car.

1970 VW Beetle(rusting in one of Dads paddocks), f**king odd 12v+ earth car so no sounds.

1985 Toyota Corolla, 1300 with factory Sunroof, with the aforementioned stereo(later removed), sister has it now, 270,000kms

1995 Toyota Curren, 4-2-1 headers, cam work, lsd, lowered on TRD springs of some sort, re-installed the stereo in this.

1997 Subaru Legacy Grand Wagon, 2.5L Auto... nice and grunty, but drank like a drunk fish.

2001 Toyota RunX, 1.8L 180HP shopping rocket. DVD MP3 stereo that cost me ~$100 on trademe

First car was a 1985 ST162 Corona GT Widebody. It had a 1st gen 3S-GE putting out at least 165ps. The whole thing with me and a full tank of fuel only weighed 1100kg. Was blowing smoke, original clutch (my dad and older brother both owned it before me) and showing 350,000 kms on the clock (possibly more as it had a fiddled odometer). I sold it to a guy i knew for $300 who sold it to a guy he knew...apparently it's still on the road somewhere polluting the air.

Loved the car to bits. Dad told me i looked after it better than he ever did. Almost disappointed I bought an st202 Celica...almost :D

Haha today I was hitchiking about a hundred metres from an intersection, I had my thumb up at one point when a mini came round the corner and it took so long to get to me I had put my thumb down and walked about 20 metres.

Anyway, this is my first car:Image

Biggest piece of crap I owned yet it had something about it that I liked.

Had a two speed hondamatic box with Low and star as the choices. Had really bad electrical problems and the dash light fuse kept blowing and so neither the tail lights or dash lights ever worked. The CV joints were rooted and the car would sometimes become really unstable which caused me to crash on many occasions, had a blown head gasket and ran on three cylinders, the radiator fan didnt work and would overheat going up hills and in traffic.

Despite all this I still kinda in a way sort of miss it.

It ended its life being paddock raced down the waimak river road up near gorge bridge. We rolled it a few times then blew the gearbox sump bung out and boiling transmission fluid spilled on the ground causing a wee grass fire. We left it there and came back less than 24 hours later to find it gone. I was confused and didnt find it again till about 9 months later when I was walking through a paddock after another paddock racer broke down near the same area.

First car was a '87 Mitsi Sigma GSR-X

Then came an '89 Galant, '87 Cordia GSR Turbo, another '89 Galant, '87 Sigma SS, '82 TE71 Corolla, '85 Cordia GT 4WD Turbo, '91 Galant, '93 Galant, '94 Galant and lastly an '80 Eterna GSR Turbo coupe.

Still have the TE71, 93 + 94 Galants and the Eterna. I think I'm addicted to Mitsubishis.
