Postby Urban-Cruiser » Mon May 21, 2007 5:49 pm

I have an aftermarket steering wheel. Just wondering what needs to be done to put back the original back on?
Yea I kno, it might be a simple question, but enlighten me.

can depend what car etc.
Generally you need to take off the horn cover (via clips or screws) unbolt existing wheel nut in the center, remove (puttling wheel side to side to get off the shaft), unpulg any wires & put origonal one on in reverse sequence.
Some factory wheels use boss kits, so rather than undoing the big nut you undo the surrounding ones (assuming factory and aftermarket use the same kit.
If its airbag equipped (not so common with aftermarkets really) theres a bit more involved and I wont give instruction for that on a forum.
Once you have a close look, it should appear fairlyeasy.
Cant believe im still a member here.
