^^^^^^
8O come on people 8O

Anyone else in taupo for the whole weekend?
I'm heading over on the saturday morning, and if I get there early enough for scrutineering (and am feeling rich enough to enter) the NZ Capri car club has invited those with Taranaki Car Club memberships to their track day (full track).
Followed by, um..... a night out in the big lights of Taupo saturday night. If there are any other toyspeeder's about it would be good to have a beer or two and meet.
Don't know about sunday. There is a play day on at the track, but I think you have to be pre-entered (plus I don't think my car would like me if I made her race three days in a row).

Monday.... racing Chelles :D

I hope the weather's good for the whole weekend :?

I'll be in Taupo this weekend by coincidence, I would love to come to track day but I sold my car. But I'd be keen to come on a cruise if there is one happening. Any plans?

There doesn't appear to be any plans for a cruise as such, If you have some time pop out to the track and say HI and have a look-see at the day.

I did the same, but there was no chance I was going to make it to trackday anyway! :-D

I took quite a few photos, will upload them tonight possibly.

Just wanted to thank Chelles for organising another fantastic day, and to all of the marshalls thanks for making the day possible.
Had an awesome day, weather was good enough for the morning and turned out great in the afternoon. I think we needed a few more toyotas though, I think the hondas out numbered everyone.

not really knowing the car that well and getting used to the new rear tyres didnt help. i think i managed to redeem myself by the end of the day though.

I remember thinking on the day that the RX3 looked like it needed bigger rear tires.

You are most welcome guys :D I just got back today.

I'd like to say thanks to everyone who came along and made it such an awesome day. Thank so very much to my trusty marshals!! Legends the lot of you :D

I'm off to Europe in a few months so I won't be running another day for a little bit but I'll let you all know when I'm back and if I can do a day later in the year.

I was rapt with my little car, the Mirage screamed her way to a 1.23 so I was pleased with that. Thanks to Ken (kinloud) of helping sort out some with the twicty rear issues. Oh and for the driver "readjustment' too.
Off to get new pads ready for the ClubSub day on the 23rd July... briiiing on the full track :D

yeah, there are plans afoot for some better traction. bigger rims and tyres and a proper lsd as its got a locked diff. still running it pretty much how we bought it so its very much a learning experience. shes a real handfull.

Here is a selection of the photos I took on the day. That's me in the silver Trueno , my bro drove our rx3 for most of the day. One of the faster laps I timed was a 1.19 flat in the rx3.

I found out that Stock V4 STI's suck on tracks

Or maybe it was just the driver, still it's a great road car, My old Levin would have smoked it, I got owned by the Carib wagon, and just about every other car there
