No I didnt get them from that site. I found a BZ-R that was written off and managed to get these off it. Only cost me $100, and i think its well worth it :D Engine note changes at 3000rpm, and can feel the difference aswell.

And no, I dont have a black-top, have silver-top.

Its all debatable what performance gains or losses you will get from putting tubes on the individual throttle bodies. Makes a great sound though. And NO you wont need an aftermarket computer for that.

what about the map sensor, or what ever it is?, do i need to attach that to anything?, its on a blacktop,, I can make the tubes up at work and flanges, the only thing i will need to buy will be the filters, what length should they be?

Since you have a blacktop your engine is map sensored and you dont require a Air flow meter (AFM). That means you can do this without changing the standard ecu.

when I tested my blacktop with a "butt dyno" its faster with stock intake in place.

However, open trumpets (with filters) sounds nice! and when you change back you get a nice increase in performance

Now thats substancial. I wonder how well calibrated your butt dyno is, as induction roar generally creates substancial butt dyno power. Mr Helmholtz agrees with you, removing the stock airbox removes power.
The answer is Helmholtz!

so better off to leave the stainless intake with pod, which geta better flow because there is another pipe directing cold air from the groung to the cone of the pod

Supposedly the longer the trumpet the lower in the rev range it will increase power & vice versa with shorter ones. I have 40mm ones on my bkl top & it screams from 7 til the cut around 7800. In hind sight i probably should have gone a little longer for street use, but sounds cool when you've overtaking someone in 3rd gear on the open road.
Any thing is better than the factory trumpets in my books. (I still have the factory plenum & intake pipe with a HKS pod filter)
