For which application? Street or Track ?

Just saying Turbo or Supercharger tends to leave it a bit too wide open and your poll wont show any real results.

Typical superchargers are roots type, which have the characteristics of having good down low power, and good midrange, but aren't that great up top, due to heat or adeibatic efficiency (scuse the spelling).

Twin screw superchargers (as in my avatar) are more efficient and are much better with top end.

However, as Matt Dunn has said in the general topic thread, PSI for PSI, a turbo is still going to make more power at any given rev range where the same PSI is being produced. Less parasitic loss from a turbo than an S/C.

So in the end, it all depends on what you like. You can have more top end power with a turbo, but you're likely to suffer from a minorly (or majorly) sloppy throttle response.
I don't think there would be too many situations where precise throttle response is critical (on the track, Rally, I can understand that, hence anti-lag). And thats coming from an S/C fan such as myself.

Personally, I'd choose S/C because every man and his dog has a turbo, and I'd just like something a lil different. Plus I like the feeling of low down torque. Having a tonne of it would be good, so that you don't have to flick down a gear!
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

I am going to have to say turbo, since I am changing my SC for one!
Drive both, then you will know what you love.
SC is awesome, I know I will miss the instant kick and being able to get frantically sideways at 2000 rpm with the SC, but the extra power and simplicity of a turbo system will make up for it!

I like supercharged, catches people off guard when you don't drop a gear.
Although traction is a huge issue.
I don't think you can really launch a gze unless it had huge tyres.

refering to pic one!, those cars have roughly 5000hp and it takes an extra 500hp to just start the s/c (i read this somewhere), so the motor is limited by its own power source, as where the turbo has the top end power and is just laggy,, no good low torque but doesnt use engine power to be driven like an air con sorta, lol

but yea its up to the individuals, i would go turbo any day!
with a s/c boost is almost alwasy there.. but with the turbo lagg,, u wait.... then bam! 8)

out of those two pics? id pick the red turbo one anyday, looks way cooler than the standard looking(in drag car terms) supercharger sticking out the bonnet. Oh & its burnout seems to have more smoke 8)

But i'd rather have turbo anyday, i can live with lag. And from what i understand turbos have a wider range of suitablitity. i.e you can get a tiny one for a low power job or a big one for an insane job. & to me it seems less hassle to swap out a maxxed out turbo for a bigger more flowing one than it is to get more power out of a supercharger.
But please correct me if i'm wrong on this point
