Anyways, my old gti was 1990 and my one i just purchased is a 1991.
My question is about the front grille and the rear lights. If you look at this pic of a 1991 rolla back on trademe, the lights sit flush in with the boot etc.

On my old rolla which was a 1990 it looked exactly the same and so did the front grille.
My 1991 i have just purchased, the rear lights stick out quite far, like quite proud from the rest of the body work, which i thought was a bit weird, and they seem to be solidly in there as from factory? and the same with my front grille it's different to the one on trademe, that i have posted above. Is it possible that some of the 1991 were a face lift model with slightly extruded rear lights and a different grille?
I thought maybe it wasn't a genuine GTi that I had purchased, but then it has all the worn stickers on the side of the car, the same interior with the 240km speedo and the rear boot has the GT-i etched in the back window, and to top it off has the typical red faded GTi paint! So must be genuine.
Or is it one of those weird UK version GT-i's?
ANY HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED!
Ill post some pics up of the problem in the next few days.
Anyway, I want to change the rear lights and grille cause they look rude!
