the clutch cant be that bad on one, well it wasnt bad, im sure its something to get use to but also there was really no room for clutch play, example my Corolla had a clutch stroke (on the pedal) of a good rulers length, this had about, no kidding, 5 cm of stroke, just resting my foot on the clutch the pedal could just about touch the ground.

sounds like something is not right, or he has a button style clutch - i didnt seem to notice that being mentioned on the trademe ad.
4AGZEs are fantastic fun, but your insurance will defintely be more. AE111's are pretty good value for money these days imho.
