Canterbury Car Club Speed Event. Twilight/Night Sat July 14

Postby Logan » Fri Jul 13, 2007 10:20 am

Hi All.

Im sure kender will post all the details ;)

First event of the CCC season.

Format is dual car sprints in the afternoon, and single car sprints in the dark. Always a dam cool event (fun and temperature wise).

Is an interclub event, and i think entrants have to be there around 1pm?

See ya all there.

Cheers

Man, I miss the regularity and closeness of going and watching Ruapuna events!! They don't seem to happen so much up here, or maybe I just don't know where to look!!!

Normally there's a speed event a month, and the weekend was really fun!! Got to love gaining more time during the night!!

pity i was too clever to pay attention and see that one was a night one, they're damn fun
depending on how sideways you get, it can be pretty hard to tell where you're going

sideways enough to cock up a couple of corners and miss the cones by millimeters

Was an awesome event, I turned up to officiate half way through after spending the day making the red thing work again, and it was disappointing to see only 24 cars enter - the July event is one of the most fun events with the custom course which is more like a street sprint or autocross for one of the runs. Can't wait to be back amongst it in September with the new motor :)

I'm Clerk of Course for August (Allan is Assistant CoC) so hope to see more out there then. And hope to be racing against you the month after :)

If I say I don't need anyone
I can say these things to you
'Cause I can turn on any one
Just like I turned on you
I've got a tongue like a razor
A sweet switchblade knife
And I can do you favors
But then you'll do whatever I like
