Remember anything about the movie? e.g. what it was about, theatre of war (yeah, Allies vs Japs, but where?),age of movie, stars etc.

I know a few military buffs- I'm sure they would have watched their fair share of movies- get the movie details, find out stuff about the movie production and the stuff used... its a bit roundabout, but might get the job done... just sayin' :D

Oh, and Voyeur- he reckons the truck only had one headight- they look like they each have two? Having said that, when you say one headlight, you mean centrally mounted, or just on one side, like it's meant to have two, but just has one... bear in mind that as they were running out of resources towards the end of the war they may have scrimped on 'non-essential' stuff...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Lan ... #1940-1949

1941 - The Japanese government asked Toyota to produce a light truck for Japan military campaign. Toyota developed a 1/2 ton prototype called the AK10 in 1942. The AK10 was built using reverse-engineering from the Bantam GP prototype. It was unsuccessful and production went to Nissan instead. There are no known surviving photographs of the AK10. The only known pictorial representations are some rough sketches. The truck featured an upright front grille, flat front wheel arches that angled down and back like the FJ40 and headlights that were mounted above the wheel arches on either side of the radiator. It also had a folding windshield. The US Army Jeep arrived in the Pacific in May 1943.

sadly i dont remember much about movie and im not 100% sure that it was in it i just have one of thoes memories thats no good to me
the movie was about a boy who got seperated from his perints wen they were leaving japan and he ended up roaming around then was oicked up by some other people who tryed to sell him as a worker a bit later (they are the ones with the truck) and ends up being taken to a prison camp to work on a runway and a whol lot of stuff happens bfour he ends up being united with his perints for a happy ending
lol i suck at explaning it and my spelling is relly bad but ring a bell to anyone?

http://www.overvalwagen.com/armoured3.html (slightly related only)

Other than that, all I can find is the same article quoted in about 15 places talking about extreme hardship and one centre mounted headlight.
