I'll say this Hamilton will have to do something like win the world title like at least 5 times at least to get anywhere near Tiger Woods.Tiger is bigger than the sport he is a ICON and is chasing history I would expect Lewis Hamilton to be a big star and without doubt will win his fair share of world titles but to be bigger than TW nah I don't think so TW everyone know's who he is I mean everyone.Golf is bigger worldwide than F1 so I just can't see it.I think when TW is finally done in the sport of golf he'll be as big as someone like Muhammad Ali thats how big TW will be Lewis Hamilton nah I don't think so.

He is most likely going to be as big as MS (and lets be honest everyone knew who he was) but with a bigger pay cheque than Tiger. If he wins this season the floodgates for sponsorship will be crazy, as every Tom, Dick and Harry will be after him. Good on him I say!!

Both these claims are premature. Both Schumacher & Tiger have longevity on their side and something very different to their fellow competitors, even other champions.
Young quicks come & go all the time. And most are quickly forgotten.
Schumacher's value lay in his personal work ethic, his unrivalled testing prowess and his ability to mould a team around him.
Hamilton's certainly got ability in the car and he may get there but there's a lot of water to go under the bridge before he does.
I don't imagine this last weekend has endeared him to his team particularly well.

I was actually thinkiong the oposite, Hmailton has had a long standing relationship with Mclaran, it almost seems that Alsono is a bit annoyed as the championship isnt being handed to him on a plate. If anythign this weekend performance will porbaly bring Hamilton even closer to the Mclaren team my bets on Alsono returning to Reanualt next season

LOL, not when he tells Ron Dennis to "Go f*cking swivel" over the radio for all to hear. Hardly a team building thing to do. Especially since Ron Dennis has been trying to instill the "team first" ethos into him for the last 10 years.

Looks a bit like the Senna Prost wars of the 80's again, and that wasn't good for McLaren either :(

No he didn't, he disobeyed team orders in the first place by not letting Alsono past , precipitating the incident. What Alsono did was inexcusable, but Hamilton should have followed orders in the first place, and how is what Alonso did Ron Dennis's fault?

That woould be a *BIG* cheque.

Ron will not give away a multi year contract on a double world champion cheaply.

In reality the full details of what REALLY happened over the weekend will never come out, everything that the public sees is skewed one way or another.

The only people who know it all are at McLaren and they are not talking.

Your right but Toyota can afford it they are already a couple of billion in the hole with not alot of consistent success I would think writing a cheque for another $100 odd plus million would'nt phase them to much if it bought them some consistent success and they are in the market for another driver so why not flash the cash at Alonso he must be in the top 3 drivers out there if not the best.
