20v + LEMG3

Postby Santa'sBoostinSleigh » Thu Aug 09, 2007 2:26 pm

anyone happen to have any tips/hints/diagrams for wiring a LEM G3 up to a N/A 20v 4AGE?

what spark setup should i run?

what injection method should i run?

do i need a ballast resistor for the standard injectors?

any advice/info/diagrams etc appreciated :)

you need to find if the std injectors are low or high impedance, most like run as group.

ignition should be straight forward and in the g3 manual

dizzy is fine,
group injectors in pairs (as per factory loom)
20v blacktop injs are hi impedence and can be wiried directly.
Make sure you get the tps wires around the right way also and get 0-5v variation, if you get them around the wrong way you will only get 4-5V and it will look like a dodgy TPS sensor...
can use factory air temp sensor etc.
vvt can be dirven directly from comp output i think.

from what i just found using the TS search: BT + ST 20v injectors are identical, and are 295cc, high impedance

when i installed one i had the following setup(was on a silvertop)

injectors are high imedance so i wired them directly in pairs(inj1 to injectors 1 & 3 and inj 2 to injectors 2 & 4) set the injection mode to multi point group.

ignition you want to use distributor with rising dwell edge

check the resistance of the vvt solenoid as to whether it can be driven from the aux output. i cant remeber but i ran it through a relay neway.

triggers should be set to cam and the sync also on cam. they are reluctor type
