Can the difference between a 4afe and a 4age really be that much? Might be time to get a nanna blanket for the back seat too

5a has smaller bore to get the lower cc
nothing wrong with them mechanicly, but the 4a is a lot nicer to drive

my 4AFE wagon got me 12-15km/l depending on city or highway use, even towed a trailer a couple of times. I'd recommend them as being suitable for a car you buy, and then just ignore the hell out of. They do the job well.

On one memorable occasion, I actually got the wagon (stock standard soggy 200,000km old suspension and all) into the top ten at a sealed autocross. Not even I was expecting that.

What are the 1800cc 4wd variants of the corolla wagons like? Might even be a carib... mid to late 1990s?

Be any good for towing a 4m IRB inftlatable that weighed bugger all ?
