General tuning

Postby magnazan » Fri Aug 10, 2007 9:09 pm

I see a lot of posts about general tuning of stock cars and just wondering what kind of tuning is being done and whether it's something that should be done every so often? Just trying to figure out if it's something extra that should be done with my stock Caldina GTT along with the general servicing?

Also what oil and filters are people running in their GTTs? I see from previous posts that 15/40 semi-synthetic does it make much difference on brand?

Nubeish questions i know but hey can't be an expert at everything!

If its a GT-T (caldina) or basically any relatively modern car with a factory ecu all you really need to do is maintain it... not even toyota will be able to change its settings from stock (my mate tried to get them to check the timing as it was pinging all over the place and they said they couldnt change the timing in a caldina)
