diagnosis in west auckland

Postby pjay » Mon Aug 13, 2007 1:26 pm

Have contacted most mechanics in the yellows and triangle auto, Bagnell Geoff auto and Joes Mechanical say they can diagnose my cars problem.

Anyone have any recommendations, people that specialise in 4agzes? maybe avid levin'ers?

Car is in limp mode so the less i drive the better!!

Would like to get the car diagnosed ASAP..

go to toyota,
or an auto electrician for electrical diagnostic

have you checked that the supercharger is plugged in?
small 2 pin plug about 3" away from it at the pulley end.
or check the s/c relay, on the l/h strut tower

Al's Mechanical (in Massey or Te Atatu)
Candia Automotive...

or talk to Nadra (? spelling) at North Shore Diesels
him & his brother are the guru's on the shore on 4ages...

Ye bra..Took the car to Joes mechanical off Hendo valley. Nice nice guy!! I would recommend him to my mother!

He reckons its either an ECU short, OR my MAP sensor is flooded with oil. But neither of us could find the map sensor!! Where is it located exactly?

Im going to earth "T1" at the ECU itself to see if it will self diagnose because his scanner wouldnt communicate with the ECU.. just jumping on the net now to grab a wiring diagram of the gze ecu

I used to have a AE101 4agze Trueno.
Your description of your 4agze problem sounds like a prob I have a while ago. Check engine light on all the time, No codes, eentually it stuffed out and would only drive ok if I gave it full throttle! Ha, what fun!
It was the ecu.
Replaced it and it was fine. I was told later that it was probably leaking capacitors that I could have replaced!.

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!
