Seconded! If they were stricter in handing out lisences it would solve Auckland's traffic problems and improve our public transport systems! Although that would probably mean i wouldn't have a license either, with my record :(

What cracks me up about drivers license's is at the age of 15 you can turn up in a high performance car and sit your restricted in it which makes me think him a 15 year old EVO 9 um yeah there's a loaded gun.Man its just so stupid they let kids drive these soughts of cars at 15 and they wonder why they have so much carnage on the road.

Pretty much any car is capable of going fast enough to cause a lot of damage. A small, crappy car is probably a lot more dangerous at speed than an Evo 9 because it has skinny wee tires, comical brakes and no fancy stability things. That said I don't particularly fancy having kids driving Evos.

all the flash electronic devices in the world still cant prevent all accidents.

having a car thats seriosuly fast increases the risk due to less time avail for reponses! compine that with lack of experience and skill....
and i see good reason for not letting kids drive evos!

however i dont think there needs to be a law on it.... i mean parents are responsible and make sure their kids behave......

Have to agree, most people look after/bring up thier kids with the same care and attention that they put into thier driving

Improve our public transport system? If they started taking licences off people that drive like w%*kers there would be no public transport system.. The bus drivers would be the first to be told to hand em in.

City driving improving idea number 1:
A $2000 fine to be given to every red light runner that causes an accident.. and the money goes to the person that had the green light as a cash bonus. Red light runner still has to pay for damages on top of the $2000 fine. Also applies to any prick that tries to charge up the turning lane then try to push into the straight ahead lane at last minute. (or vice versa)

#2 Police to hand out instant $200 fines for anyone in right hand lane on motorway when they are not traveling faster than traffic in left hand lane. They can meet their quotas (revenue collection targets) and actually do something to improve driving standards for a change.

#3 Traffic planners responsible for the motorway on-ramp christmas tree drag lights idea to be stood against a wall and shot repeatedly with frozen paintballs until they admit what a f'n stupid idea it is.

And, if one of those people is on a learner or restricted and outside there license condtions, and still live at home, there parents also get the same fine for being unresponsible.
