I had no chance ever to go due to the old doggy requring an operation and supervision.. Id be well keen to re visit port meets but as its allready been highlighted no one else shows up.

Coming from back in the day where thered be 40+ players out on a wednesday night to 6, i just like you cant be bothered.

Look at the guys that say they will show and dont before looking at me. And as it was pointed out i couldnt care less what you organise.. but for anyone new wanting to come to a wednesday night meet if somone else is organising something else along simlar times theres a chance for crossed wires so its wise to use a universal time and day setout be members long before my time.

No offence Pjay, but he raises a valid point. The meets now are nothing what they used to be like (going from conversations from people that used to attend them).
If you have another commitment you can't really do two things at the same time, irrelevant if it was a dog or person they are part of his family, and I wouldn't leave someone at home sick if they had just endured a major operation.
The comment on people showing up and getting wires crossed doesn't help the situation much either, as some people tend not to read the forums and may show up occasionally only to find no one there, and that leads on to them not bothering to show up due to people doing other things (regardless if they read the forums or not).
