HOW MANY GT FOUR RC Owners

Postby BR0Z » Wed Sep 12, 2007 9:23 pm

Well as the title suggests & since someone started one for ST205's I thought why not start one for CS/GrpA/RC's :D as I know there are a few on here. PS does anyone know how to work out what # of between 1 & 5000 your car is?? :?

I'll start:
1)Me "Broz" 1 91 RED
& 1a)91 White
2)Stinger - Ryan - RED
3)Adydas - Cliff - RED
4)celicaRC - Mike - White
5)Gonad - Alex - RED
6)GT4Mike - Mike - Grey
7)'92 RC in black - Craig

I guess it will be your chassis number, like: ST185-0001000, which should mean #1000

im not sure they kept GT4 frame numbers seperate from non GT4 models.

would be interesting to look into it though

They're not seperate, although they do carry the ST185H designation to indicate that they're widebody, but so do all other non-homologation model widebodies. If one of the previous owners of your car hadn't stolen the numbered plaque then you would be able to tell what number out of 5000 your car is.

H is in the model number  which isnt a number
eg st185h-blmvf frame is what toyota use to determine build date, eg st185-1234567

Getting a bit off topic ie How many owners.

But the JDM RC's didn't have (as far as I'm aware) any plaque identifying their number so I would like to find out if there is another way?

Cheers, Mark

Adydas has one ..

there was a white one wrecked in hamilton - NZ delivered too i believe ..

I shouted at the wrecker guy for parting it out - he said it was more valuable n parts than as a complete car

* mourns passing of another RC *

the st185h's have st185h on the chassis stamp though, eg st185h-1234567

add Alex (Gonad) and GT4Mike to the list of RC owners (both members of the forums but not common posters).

Tim (gtstarped) imported an RC from Japan that couldn't be complied due to the frontal impact law change, and I'm pretty sure that had the signed/numbered plaque in it, but when the car was parted it went into Gonad's (then Tims) red RC.

Yeah me :) Its RED

Yeah I stole that plaque thing - #118 of 5000.

That one that Tim imported ended up down in Palmerston North to some dude with another couple at the time. He had the burnt out shell that Tim bought ages ago - another complete genuine and a wide body replica.

There is Audis old one but god knows where that went.

I suggest an eventual meetup of RC and St205 group A / WRC owners in the future

Toyotas rally best , here in NZ in one location , at one time ..

I have the number for the general manager of rally new zealand ( yes - the WRC head dude ) Im tempted to ask him if there could be a static display outside of the main arena for the likes of us .

Im even tempted to cross makes and see if we could get in say 22B Sti WRX owners , or tommi makkinens EVo owners for a mega show of Homologation build cars.. Its just a thought but toyotas first and formost

Hey

classique71 that sounds like a good idea to me! If it ever happend you i would be there :D

As for some other RC's i know of, there is a black one in Auckland that has been forsale for ages on te.co.nz (sometimes its listed on there). I think his name was Eric.

There must be a few we dont know of in NZ. Like my one had been locked up in a garage for 6 years before the previous owner sold it to me. 8)

Incidentally - Malcolm do you think the white one in Hamilton referred to above was the one your motor came out of years ago?

If so - that was a fake RC.

Yeah I wondered that, it's possible.

There's heaps out there, I remember seeing one on a news website where someone tried to steal it, and the owner jumped on the back, dragged himself up to the sunroof, which was open, and attacked the theif through the roof. They crashed into a fence but I don't know if it got written off.

Also I saw a white one in CHCH when I was down there once. There was a dick who had a grey one with the number plate QIK AS (or something) at the first autosalon, going on about how it did 11's when his only modification appeared to be the stereo and blue leather inserts in the seats and door cards. There was also a grey one in puke with the number plate GT4RC or similar, I think he's Richard D's mate.

LOL I knew that guy - I don't think the car was written off, not 100% sure on that though... was a top effort that though.
