Some guy robbed ATM's to pay for his race car.... that's taking the hobby/obsession to a new extreme.

Lol! That is extreme.

At least he had some desire to make it but damn he took it too far. Was he any good? Had he even raced?

Strange thing is, he really always did seem like a decent bloke. Not like some of the total egomaniac crybabies that turn up at the pointy end of motor racing.

Just read the article. Gotta love lawyers.

Mr Chisnall said Singh had considered robbery in 2003 when he was seen near an ATM at The Vault in Willis St, Wellington.

He was not caught then but fingerprints and dna taken after his arrest last year pointed to him.

Being in the vicinity of an ATM means you are considering robbing it?

Mr West agreed with Singh's lawyer Shane Tait that his job in identifying Singh was made easier when the accused came into the court handcuffed to a police officer

i dunno who the writer is, but they are a muppet!

Mr Chisnall said dna taken after Singh's arrest and matched against dna found at The Vault showed it was 20 million million times more likely to come from Singh than any other male.

They got his dna, that's reasonably good evidence,

They found the money and stuff at his house,
kinda convincing,

But is he still saying "it wasn't me" ???
