Where to get body panel sealant form?

Postby Rick » Sun Oct 07, 2007 4:33 pm

I am after the stuff which is used to seal between the panels of cars, its like a type of flexable bog, the stuff that is cracked in the below picture.

i dont know what it is but it looks like som kind of silicon. and you can get that at hardcare stores. just make shore if you do use silicon you can paint over it because there are many kinds and alot that paint wont stick to

i got some from the toyota parts dept.

its about $50 from memory, not cheap but it goes a long way.

youll need a very stiff brush or a spatula of some kind as its pretty gooey stuff

You can usually buy it at an automotive paint shop.(Where you buy the paint.....not where you get the car painted.) I've never seen the proper stuff at a hardware store.

Do you mean chassis glue? Try get it in tubes you can use with a caulking gun. Itll make it look heaps tidier.
