mmm, same, I'll see it, but after the third one I'm not going to bother paying to see it.

The third one just seemed like a typical "coming of age" story (troubled teen gets sent away to learn about real life etc etc) with drifting thrown into it to make it part of the franchise and to earn them some more cash.

The entry of Vin at the end made it all that much worse(meaning it seemed tacked on).

Once again, I'll be there to watch...

This time could prove interesting.
Justin Lin and Neal Mortiz.
Pray for a halfway decent storyline. It's hard watching a movie just for the cars, girls and stunt scenes...

Could be watchable - i thought the first one was the best out of the 3 - more realistic storyline if i dare say it...

Looks like it will be based in mexico...

I know its just a movie but if Vin Dieseal was a wanted felon, how did he manage to fly from mexico to tokyo??? Come on guys its just common sense!!!

Who says he flew? Maybe he swam!

Btw, where have you been? You went missing for like a year or something.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

I dont think all the mod's appreciated my contribution to the toyspeeds threads... hmmm i could bring them back.... Emily Scott anyone???

Actually I suggest going to sydney - the girls are so much hotter down there and nicer - mostly brunettes - I found GC girls to be real up themselves - plus they're all the same - bottle blonde with over tanend skin that will be all leatehry by teh time they're 30...

So it will be the idea they had that was meant to carry on from the first one?

I remember the scene they had at end of movie with Vin in middle of nowhere. (Mexico)

Mmmm Vin Diesel :P
I'll definately make the effort to see it

Hopefully there will be atleast one pimped out volkswagen beetle if its based in mexico.

But when I think about it, its more than likely it'll be hondas with tacky interiors, Discovery channel has taught me thats how mexicans roll.

discovery channel has taught me a lot too

but seriously, what do you want from a a movie?
a lot of people expect too much. to me its like junk food, i sit down and watch it to burn away a couple of hours of my life, and pretty much all the FATF have been that sort of movie.
the second one was pretty bloody shit , but the first wasnt a bad flick even if it was a complete ripoff of another movies storyline, and the 3rd one had some nice car porn in there too.

they need to make these movies to appeal to everyone so you can't really have them going on about anything technical and youll lose half your audience. i know my mrs actually sat through tokyo drift quite happily at the movies.

ill be along to see it.

/agree.

In fact, the third one was basically just the movie "Footloose" with cars.

I've never seen any of them tbh.

On this movies subject- is the f&f where the quote "15 grand of parts overnight from Japan," comes from? Some people I know say it a bit and I just smile and nod because I really have no idea what they are on about.

FATF spawned so many good quotes

"motec system exhaust"

"15g of parts overnight from japan"

"I live my life a 1/4 mile at a time..."

"I need nos"

"danger to manifold" (the floor falls off the car)

ahhh the good old days hahaha

bahahaha i think its time to watch the first one again. i'd forgotten about the 10 second 1/4 that takes 15 minutes with the dude looking anxious as he watches his laptop while doing 240 km/hr and rowing his 16 speed gbox...
