Diesel fuel econimiser?????

anybody know if these actually work? ive never heard of them.

sorta wondering if its another 'electric turbo/super charger' bollocksy product...

I don't know diesels but I thought they already had fuel warmers?

, when ya raise the fuel temp(out of manufacturs specs) its viscosity changes , now if ya know anything about diesels the fuel is the key thing , you could get more wear in ya pump,spray pattern could get worse(changes ignition timing), also with a visctocity thats high you can reduce the amount of fuel metering in the system due to higher flow resistance.

and on there they talk about the flash point, if ya unsure what it its , its the point at which diesel(in this case) gives off a vapour

I made a home made heat exchanger when i was running cooking oil on my wagon, worked the same way heated the fuel by using the top radiator hose, worked mint when running on the oil but one day when i ran outa oil and just ran it on diesel it was really gutless i thaught it smoked more aswell with the diesel being warm

I cant imagine why you would need to heat the diesel otherwise toyota would have done it?

I can only see those things being any good when your runnning bio diesel

some diesels have factory heaters, my work truck does its a '07 ISUZU ELF 8 ton job.

alot of comercal trucks have them(or atleast as an option from factory) but thats only due to very cold conditions, and yeah unless your running bio fuel i dont see the need for one
