I've decided that since the turnout for the MG BBQ was so good that I'll take charge again and start organising some events and get AK up running as it has been in previous years!!!
This will be a discussion/suggestion thread for what YOU (Auckland members) would like to do and get organised over the up and coming year.
What we'll start off with doing first I think is get the monthly cruises/meets etc back up and running for a start which will kick off at the end of January once everyone is back from holidays etc.
We've had some good suggestions come in from people about what they'd like to do so I'll throw them up as possibilities and you guys can voice your opinions on whether you would or wouldn't be interested in taking part in the events.
Event Suggestions:
1. Pool Tournament
2. Go Kart Tournament
3. Mini Golf Tournament
4. Golf Tournament
5. Grasskhana
I thought it would be great fun to run events like these and have maybe a prize or whatever for the winner of each tournament. A big one like a Grasskhana we could possibly invite the Hamilton peeps and who ever else is keen up as well.
Plugs to the people who were running the Golf Tournaments last year, Greg (Bad20v) suggested that and that we could have a Pool Tournament as well.
If you have any other good suggestions let me know and I'll add them to the list, otherwise voice your opinion on which of the above events you would be interested in and I'll start organising things for next year.
Cliff has the cruise sorted out for next month AFAIK and I'll take care of the mid December XMAS meet which will also conclude TS activities for the year untill we start up in January again like we've always done.
I'm going to start up a distribution list with montly updates etc for all Auckland members interested which will include information on meets/tournaments/cruises/club days/track days etc which I thought would be good.
If you would like to be added to this list then fire off an e-mail to me with 'Auckland TS DL' in the subject line. Please insert your alias on here in the e-mail so I can add it all to the DL properly.
Send e-mails to Auckland.TS@mk3supra.co.nz
Thanks,
Hanré
