The guy driving the Soarer is Brent, I believe its his girlfreinds car! she let him take it out for a skid. :lol:

Nice pics however its crazy how many cars are fukt afterwards. The Toyotas & Nissans take a fair bit a pounding unlike alot of the crap out there. Has a rotary ever been able to drive home after skidfest?! :lol:

A mate of mine who entered the comp said one of the other guys showed him receipts for a $6-8k rotary rebuild in which he destroyed that day

The KE25 is from tauranga, Dudes nickname is Smugg's (i assume his real name is so gay that this is better?) and its rotary powered, yes it is over heating, like it does every time he rapes the arse off it. Last burnout comp in TGA he got a punch in the head from a marshell for continuing to skid a long, long time after he was asked to vacate the burnout pad, a great chap over all i hear, amazing the photo's show his face he usually has a red bandana over it while he does his thing, with his hand out the window pulling many a gang sign

(he is a painter/airbrusher and painted the car)

The only rotary that blew up on the day was the 323 hatch, one of the judges overheard his mate talking about how they were putting in a new clutch the night before, and one of the bolts was stripped-kept spining, so they broke out the welder and tacked it to the flywheel.. now doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out what that would do to a solid (should be ballanced) rotating mass at high rpm.. hit 9000 rpm + and BanG! (this story is all second hand though)

Other than that you will often see rotaries blow there radiators up, Sitting at high rpm the accessive heat and preasure build up can pop off top tanks etc..

One of the nissans left a conrod on the pad! that motor will be a mess.. :lol:
