God when wil the controversy end!

It would be horrible for Kimi to lose this way, as i see it he won fair & square ( and i was cheering for Hamilton).

Gutted for hamilton with the gearbox problem, but thats racing

That's pretty poos really! If they do get disqualified that doesn't mean they should be moved up places... Their points should stay the same. It's completly unfair on all the other teams, not just Ferrari.

If it does go that way then it would be proof that F1 is more about the politics and less about the sport, and in some sense it would be justice. Ferrari didn't win the WCC, but were awarded it by the FIA, and if BMW & Williams get DQ's then McLaren would be awarded a WDC they didn't win :roll:

Yeah that's very true. I'm a Ferrari supporter but they didn't win the constructors championship. They came second. Kimi deserves that win though. If anything should get stripped it should just be Constructors points off those teams.

I'm with you on that point Sideros.

Didn't think of it till you said it, but it is a team mistake, not a driver mistake, so points off the team, perhaps not this year, perhaps they should start the next season on -3points or something.

Though could make next years constuctors championship interesting, if they started on negative points & Mclaren start on negative points if the FIA find any ferrari stuff on next years car, could make for an eassy win for ferrari & mean someone like Toyota end up 2nd in the constructors championship

There is no way that they would impose a penalty that will change the result of the Drivers Championship. It would be far too detrimental to F1. If anything, those teams will lose the points from the race I guess.

Summed up how I feel aswell, would have been great for hamilton to win but kimi took it out fair (even if he is a sour looking bastard :lol:

Oh dear, pitpass are saying that according to their sources it was Hamilton who hit the start button that caused him to slow, & he had to reset the software to get it to work again. I bet he feels really stupid if thats the case

Perhaps he needs a special manual box?

^^ That depends on whether he actually caused his thirty second 'timeout' himself or not I guess.
Although he lost a few possy's at the start I think he could have come back from that but when he dropped to 18th it was all but over - especially after the strange decision to three stop

Regardless, it was a great season of viewing!

Oh yeah he screwed himself with an oversized dildo in china alright, but hey he was technically a rookie so I'm sure he learned from his mistakes and will be firing on all cylinders next season.

Hamilton will be fine a couple of errors wheather they were his or the teams have cost him in the end but he is a World Champion in waiting no doubt.I'm just glad the English got theres there Soccer team gone there Rugby team gone and on a lesser note LH not winning.Now those English commentators can shut the F**K Up.......

Will never happen, im jsut happy the french lsot they havft to be the most arrogant nation of people in the world, twice the entire world helped them free there country and they still show no respect to anyone and they build crap cars

Well there goes F1 as the arena for technical innovation :evil:

The FIA has announced that it will tighten current restrictions and freeze engine development for a decade as of next season. The decision was taken at a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council, which was held in Paris on Wednesday.

“There will be a total freeze on engine development for a period of 10 years, starting from 2008,” said the statement. “A change can be made after five years but only with the unanimous agreement of all stakeholders and following a further two-year notice period. Total freeze means that there will be no exceptions for development of certain parts of the engine, as is the case under the current regulations.”

What are Mad Max and his cronies thinking :roll:

OK, so the constructors can't do engine development, does this mean there are going to be some seriously wicked road cars coming from the so called engine 'suppliers'?

a high-revving V10/12 Toyota donk in a KP60 would be the shizz!!! :twisted:

Apparently all of the teams rejected this and they are going to settling for a 2 or 3 year freeze for a start. (my F1 crazy flatmate is the source of info so I can't confirm that)
Seriously, whats the point in F1 if they freeze development? F1 is surposed to be the cutting edge - not a decade of rinse and repeat
