That should be a good 3 months, and I'm sure some will come up on either side of that aswell. *gets car ready by then!*

Oh well if your organising days please get the dates out there as I'm keen to plan my track-day calendar for next year.

I reckon your days are the closest things to legalised street racing and I luv it.....

lol slight difference there as the levins/truenos at the last track day were first time track drivers, and a whole different league to bazdas car in terms of brakes, tyres, power and suspension setup.

barry tends to use decent semi slicks (cheater  ), monstrous wilwood brakes, can set up his suspension properly, in addition to having the ability to dial up pretty much whatever power he needs. oh and he also knows how to run a clean lap from what i've seen.

going by his times at puke and taupo in comparison to his old mans car i wouldn't be suprised if he clocks some pretty damn serious times when he eventually gets his ass down here.

That would be on street tyres too, would be the Bridgestones it used to run,
or the Khumo v700's that it runs now.
Car no 37 on here,
http://www.mylaps.com/results/newResults.jsp?id=517805

It does 1.03's at puke on the same tyres.

I'm definitely not saying its not possible - I've seen some unexpected stuff in my time! Its not the first time that its been indicated that the car will do that time at manfeild, I'm fully keen to instead actually hear about it happening.

Proof is in the pudding.

Would be interested to see what lap times eventuate. I'd be seriously impressed if it went under 1:23. Which is not to say I think it is not possible, it is to say I will be impressed.

yeah agree with above. its probly a bold statement saying your car is capable of x time but who really cares , at the end of day we all need to set goals.
arent we all supposed to be supportive of each others projects seeing as we are all here because we like toyotas?
there are some people here with vast track experience who should maybe consider helping the less experienced people out more insetad of making stirring comments.

Leon is a good example, the first track day i went to he came out on track as a passenger and showed me the correct lines to run through the corners, probly saved me half a days fumbling round

In my opinion Barry's car has got everything that is required for a fast lap time at Manfield. ie power, relatively light weight, big brakes and semi slicks. Whether it is sub 1:17 is up to his driving skills and some practise on this track.

Take BTLF3D for exampe, the orange civic at the TS trackday. That was extremely impressive and is a similar car. He's done a best of 1:19, which is believable after seeing it keep up with that blue "track" supra (I have it on video...because I had plenty of time to take vids/pics...damn $&#$% car! )

Lets just leave it up to Barry to give it a go eh?
