GZE @ high rpm

Postby AE82 FXGT » Thu Nov 01, 2007 9:04 pm

Hey all, searched for ages but couldn't find anything.

I know that MAP sensor gze have that dip in power at high rpm, but what causes it?

Why do AFM ones not have that?

I'd be keen on fixing it as it gets annoying shifting at 5500rpm.

Thanks

Never really had that problem with my old one (AE101 4agze) on 98.
If it got a batch of 96 then it would hesitate at about 6000rpm.

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

I've posted about this YEARS ago. I recently found a solution.

Back off the IGN timing slightly, mine was always very bad. Now its fine.

Yeah, it's running on 98,
was doing it with original pulley, I have put a 14 pound job on it now.

Will try the ignition timing.
