Actually - there are two GT4 Rallys on TM at the mo - quite a unique thing to have since they are very rare

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 137114.htm

and

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 949028.htm

the rally's only have A2A, not W2A. Only RC has W2A

and if you wanted close to an RC then the rally with the RC bonnet and widebody is pretty close. Better ratios on gearbox than standard but only windup windows

otherwise get a st205 :)

Hi
Yep saw that on TM - no it hasn't got a WTA it's probably just a GTFOUR A. But it is a wide body, low k's & looks tidy.

Cheers, Mark

I think that guy with the GT-Four rally with the RC bonnet is on the north shore, he had it advertised maybe 2 years ago on te.co.nz as an rc but when i went and looked at it, it wasnt an rc so i was annoyed after a 3 hour drive.. anyway it was a nice car and in really good condition. Still looks like it is too.

Definatly doesnt have a Water-to-Air.

I would buy a Group A front bumper for it and some wheels, ultimately i want a white Celica like this

Image

I can live without power windows as it won’t be a daily driver, Astra fills those duties :)

Might have to go have a look at the rally then.

Is there a Power difference between the RC and normal GT-Four :?:

10hp, but i doubt you'd really notice... RC has a higher final drive or something in the box, iirc it actually accelerates a little slower? I thinks its so you can reach 100k in 2nd, you cant on a normal GT4 box.

what can people see wrong with the first white one on trademe - gold star for the person who picks the very bad thing .. ( hint ) its got something to do with the bonnet

Secondly RC still is shorter ratio , Group A rallye ( ie australian spec RC ) has the longer gears .. the final drive is the thing - leads to a higher top speed , but sacrifices punch down low

If its a genuine RC is has a water to air, so doesnt need airflow to the toptank

I have no idea tho, ive only been around non-RCs :P

Its not a genuine RC , it has an Air to air cooler , it has no airflow to IC , so it would run like a paralysed dog , and i WARNED the car yard that originally had it it would eventually lead to bad things..

Gold star for touge !

I even offered to make the car yard in question a front kounted intercooler jig for this car in question but no offer was accepted ..

Silly people who dont know their Gt4's , they shouldnt own them if the current owner couldnt pick up on this issue !

Where was that? In NZ or Oz? I never knew people were so stupid :?. Funny enough, they did a good job of it (i see its widebody as well, definately not common in NZ in non-RCs). Even done the stickers!

I believe the widebody Rally is rarer than the RC.

There is something fishy going on with the wide body Rally on trade me..It only has one facelift rear light.

Maybe it literally has been rallied!

all rallys are rarer than the CS/RC/Group A RallyE - but CS/RC is just cooler 8)

There was a dude a wee while ago called Jonny that had a gt-four with an A to A and RC bonnet and according to him it ran way better with the RC bonnet than the original.

Ws quite the stoner though from what I remember.....
