define "struts" are they from another car or what?
define "leaf spring adjustments" what have you done.

"wont need hight aslong as i dont lower it much"
As long as chassis isn't lower than 100mm off ground no.

the more detailed info you provide, the more detailed answers you will get you will find.

I think its a case of non-factory parts need certing with the likes of brakes.

suspension (rear leafs) i'm sure you'd be fine without cert

If you change the suspension then it'll get listed on the cert plate and you'll most likely get the height written on plus or minus 5%, so if you're going to change it later on (height) then you might find it a hassle getting warrants

thats true, but legally if the car is over 100mm and all the suspension is legit (ie, captive springs etc) you don't need a cert for it anyway.
if suspension / struts is a direct bolt in replacement, you don't need a cert.

it CAN be altered afterwards, but you may find it a hassle if you have a picky wof inspector. I got my car certed, bolted in completely different struts and lowered it another couple of inches so it sat at about 115mm and still got WOFs.

If in doubt read the rules

http://www.lvvta.org.nz/CertThresholdSc ... il04V3.pdf

How do you "reset" leaf springs?
If it involves heating them then its a no-no.

though not suspension, as you are changing the engine you will need a drive-shaft hoop (or hoops for two piece) for cert.

When modifying a vehicle from factory with after market parts (except OEM or direct aftermarket replacments) you will need a cert I.E adjustable struts, camber kits, bigger discs/calipers setups. If you lower a vehicle 100mm below a structral (that means sway bars, X members, floor stiffners) part of the car a cert is reqd. even if you fit wheel spacers for your mags a cert is reqd.
REFR VIRM (Vehicle Inservice Requirements Manual) on LTNZ web site.

Technically this is Illigal any modifaction to a factory spring is not allowed but some how thay manage to get away with it. I see it all the time.
