Happy Birthday Toyspeed

Postby Chelles » Mon Nov 19, 2007 9:33 am

This month Toyspeed see’s another birthday… We’re in our eight year now!

Some of us who have been around since it’s inception have seen a lot of change over those years and today it’s holding it’s own among the vast array of forum based ‘clubs’.

Ah how time flies when you’re having fun.

Have a great day everyone.

I'm a late bloomer, been here for around 6 years.
In my defence I was living in another country for the other 2+ years... :P

Looonie....

There was a group of us who used to be on a USA forum called Club 4AG, Looonie asked if us NZ'ers wanted to start something over this way. Yes was the general answer. So talents were pooled... Wildcard started the original forum; I did the first event meet which was in Auckland and Looonie started his obession with Supras and encouraged many others along the way. There was around five or six of us from that forum that 'pioneered' the way for you all...

Didn't take long for many other people to join up and we still have a few of those 'original' members here today.

This is the birthday of the original Toyspeed, not the new forum.

Damn that long, I can still remember the first meeting all that time ago & I remember toyspeed before it was even called toyspeed, back in the day.

Guess I should probably pull finger & actually attend a Toyspeed event or two soon as it's been ages since I have.

Is WLDCRD even still here? I've been one of Toyspeeds long term highly inactive members. :) My cars never worked long enough to make it to most stuff.
