It wont be legal.

No matter how flash your car is (Ferrari). I think Ferrari sellers in nz pay the fine if you get pulled over and fined for no front plate 8)

I purchased the plates off my classic car and it cost me $299.

And when my front plate was theifed off my old van, I drove around without it for over a year before I got replacements lol.

One of my work colleges said in Australia in her state it was $50 for a Personalized plate! Hell Id have one in seconds at that price. She said pretty much anyone with some personality had one :D

Totally insane that they are 10x that here - minimum!

Its annoying as they are great but not worth half a grand...

In most states they also pay yearly for the privilege of having a personalised plate too, and it's not usually cheap.

in my opinion the personalised plates with messages are generally waste of money unless they are on something very unique or a business vehicle.

I like them, I get heaps of comments on mine and it’s cool that people no longer think im a sales rep.

My current plate B DEDLY has sentimental value and that’s why I run it.

I have the plate TTEETT witch was a present and it’s just TTE (Toyota Team Europe) then TTE reversed..

My brother is driving round with a plate that’s worth more than his car, it came on a car he purchased years ago and is believed to be worth big bucks now.. 123450 haha.

My mum has the plate JUMPER and has been offered over 5k for that!

I think there is too little to choose from anymore so I can’t understand how they can justify the high price?

first rule of business: when you start to run out of stock and there's still demand, jack up the price. just like oil...

Plus they dont have any form of competition, so they can charge whatever they please.

We should set up competition then. I don't see how they are not regulated on price by the government. It surely doesn't cost that much money to make a piece of aluminium with letters on it. :?

I actually probably agree but not very many people no what my plate means unless your a car guy or no Toyota's.I always get people saying to me 2jzgte what does that mean.It pretty much looks like a normal plate anyways.
