got st185 running gear and just wondering what oil to run in the diff and box iv used redline oil in my boxes just wondering if this is all good in toyota boxs too also any1 now where i can get a front trd lsd diff for a celica st185 and also a trd lsd for the rear aswell

hey just wondering how long did it take you to change the oil in the diff and gearbox

what you mean when i brought the running gear it had no oil in it and was just wondering what the best oils to use

redline and gt4 running gear is a good thing ..
nearly every one i know of locally , ( mine, franks group A , itracks ) all run redline ith good results

TRD dont make LSDs for them afaik. I dont know any that do anyway. Rear is standard torsen LSD anyway (unless your unlucky and have an export one, they only had the option of LSD).

Heard good things about redline tho.

dose any one here no how strong the st185 gear box is as it will be put to the test very soon whats it like compared to a evo 456 box

Not the strongest box ever. Synchros wear out, and launching can cause the output shaft to lose teeth. But i guess alot of that has to do with the fact its a 15+ year old box. My rebuilt one was mint.

Evo ones seem to be alot stronger tho, seem to handle the abuse of drag racing more that GT4 boxes.

Reliability will always depends on the power output, oil, and how you treat it.
