avs s5 problem

my car has a avs s5 alarm with extra functions such as tilt sensor and internal screamer siren, the core unit works fine lock unlocks, shock sensor works, unlock doors while alarmed siren and lights go but the tilt sensor is not doing anything and the internal screamer randomly started hissing constantly yesterday and the back up siren unger the bonnet is very very very quitely sounding

any thoughts???

Are you sure you a jacking the car up enough to set the tilt off? You need to get the wheel off the ground normally.

Sounds like you have lost an earth on the sirens. A bad install may have caused this or even corrosion etc. Find where the sirens are earthed and clean it up/ redo it etc.

what did the problem turn out to be? how many degrees is your tilt sensor set at? thinking of getting one as well for my s5

when you lock and unlock it, it beeps rite, is that the same volume as it usually is ??

Hard to tell what it is, could be earth.

Have you been under the dash / engine bay lately that may have moved / bumped wires ???

yea take it back to the installer and see what they say.
