Cheap automotive lightbulbs

Postby ollieboy » Wed Dec 12, 2007 6:51 pm

Does anyone know where to get reasonably priced lightbulbs for cars? I don't mind paying $3 for one bulb but I have to buy a lot and it soon adds up.

Nothing wrong with Narva bulbs, they work fine. Lucas ones are nice and cheap if you have an Appco nearby.

Would Lucas bulbs be better than the electrics in my dads old british car

Cheers for all your help guys, gives me better options, I only usually buy stuff at repco because its close and they usually know stuff about cars, unlike supercheap. I wasn't prepared to pay that much for bulbs though.

Cheers

They tend not to let the smoke out as often ;) Repco can also get Lucas bulbs funnily enough. They are a heap cheaper than Narva/Phillips bulbs, though you do get what you pay for.
Try get a cash card at your local Repco, will save you a bit.

I managed to get enough at BNT for cheap, cheers guys, only cost about $7 for 10 and they are quite good bulbs, I forget the name now but they have yellow packaging with blue writing.

Yellow and blue.. sounds a bit like hella... Or maybe Osram (hella in drag)...

Hella are good. I've had much better luck with hella than narva...

Bad pun.
Reasonably true (at least in my experience).
