Agree with you here. We had a number on the yard at the same time when these first became 'importable'.
The manual was a bit cumbersome to drive but the auto you just jumped in and drove it like a go kart. Heaps more fun.

I really cant agree with that. Aside from the fact the autos have a lower power to start with, its just not the same. The rx7 is a purists car, so an auto in my view dilutes the whole experience.
Its a shame you did have these come up earlier, i would of gladly bought the series 7 off ya. But ive turned to getting a gen 1 rx7 now

Also yes, auto FD's are gäy. Gäy gäy gäy gäy gäy. I've only driven the one but it really lacked the feel of the manual ones. Also they're not exactly the torquiest of engines, and the auto really accentuates that.
